We will walk through the entire fashion process leading up to your wedding day. From wedding dress shopping, fittings, accesorizing and helping you to get dressed on the final day. 

Traditional  Weddings

For the African Bride, we know it can get overwhelming having to put together a variety of outfits based on different cultures. We are well versed in all types of cultural weddings and can pull together all types of outfits from aso oke to george laces. We are connected with vendors and designers in America, Nigeria & Ghana that can create the look of your dreams.

Wedding Events

 We also provide complete styling services for other wedding related events such as: Bridal showers, engagement shoots, rehearsal dinners, introductions, engagement parties, and the list goes on..

Add-On Services Include: Men’s styling, aso-ebi concierge & travel outside of the DC/Maryland/Virginia Metro area for design appointments, fittings or events.

 

Our Process

 
 

Initial Consultation

Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step by visiting our site! The next step is to head to our BOOKING page to schedule an initial consultation with us and fill out our client questionnaire. Once it is complete and the appointment is booked you will meet with our team to discuss more about your vision for your wedding day looks. This meeting usually lasts an hour and it is a way for us to make sure we will be a great fit for you and your wedding styling dreams. Feel free to bring inspiration photos to the consultation, as this will help us get to know your style even better. We will produce a customized quote for you based on the number of looks we’ll be creating and the time/labor required to procure each look.

Brainstorming & Moodboarding

Once our services are booked and we have collected all the data we need from you, we can go out and create your personal Modish Bride StyleBoard. You will have a StyleBoard for each look you’ve selected with us. We will schedule a 30 min review session to go over the StyleBoard and make any necessary tweaks.

SHOP ‘TILL WE pop

This is the part everyone loves, once we have perfected our ModishBride StyleBoard for you, we will begin our procurement process. For some items we will provide links to purchase online. For wedding gowns we will contact bridal boutiques with dresses in your desired styles and schedule shopping appointments. For custom outfits we will begin communicating with designers and officially start the design process.

Finishing touches

This is where everything begins to come together. We can attend fittings with you virtually (may require an extra fee to attend fittings in person). We will make sure all the details are in place such as veils, jewelry, purses, etc. The final step will be us spending the morning with you on the day of your formal wedding to help you get dressed for the day.
